ABOUT THE FOUNDER |

Israel A. Olivencia, president and CEO of TPS, began initial development on a unique security services concept in 1988. His vision was to provide a comprehensive and holistic total solution for the complex area of security management, utilizing a blended approach that places equal emphasis on both the mental and physical aspects of providing security. |
Mr. Olivencia is a master instructor of martial arts with an impressive and diverse training background in addition to vast real-world experience in training military personnel, law enforcement agents, professional bodyguards and numerous other security providers. His martial arts training spans more than 30 years, of which he has spent nearly two decades as a certified full instructor and vice president of the internationally recognized Korea Institute of Martial Arts. He is a full Master Instructor certified by the prestigious Korea Ki-Do Association (World Ki-Do Federation), the only martial arts organization officially chartered by the South Korean government to oversee and standardize authentic Korean martial science training and education. |
Master Olivencias profound expertise encompasses the martial arts of Hap Ki Do, Kuk Sool, Tae Kwon Do and a combination of several other authentic Korean martial arts. His entire training career has been spent under the tutelage of world-class master instructors, many of whom served as chief instructors of hand-to-hand combat for military forces. Master Olivencia specializes in several key areas which make him an eminently qualified instructor for law enforcement and security services personnel. |
For over 15 years, Master Olivencia has provided high caliber tactical training services to agents and officers of multiple law enforcement organizations, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the US Drug Enforcement Administration, Los Angeles Sheriff Department and Los Angeles Police Department. He has also lent his instructional expertise in the combative sciences to numerous members and personnel of the US armed forces. |
In addition to his extensive teaching involvement with the military and law enforcement, Master Olivencia has an elaborate background in various facets of private security. He has trained a number of private bodyguards and security officers and has also served as an expert advisor to the executive management of several security companies. Among the various private industries to whom he has provided consultation, Master Olivencia possesses specialized expertise in entertainment security. He has personally headed protective detail operations for Latin musicians and entertainers traveling between the US and Mexico. The implementation, tactical planning and related training for these security operations were conducted directly by Master Olivencia, whose bilingual abilities have been highly useful in serving the Latin market. |
Combined with his superior technical knowledge of both armed and unarmed combat, Master Olivencias disciplined focus on the strategic, proactive security mindset is what distinguishes his unique security training vision. He founded TPS upon principles that place maximum value on individual and team leadership, tactical awareness and systematic real-time critical thinking and crisis management.
